These 5 “Boring” Faceless Niches Print Money (Start Now!)
A channel making around $24,000 a month from military stories, and another making $6,000+ explaining why being a superhero sucks. Here are five faceless AI niches going viral, roughly what they make, why they work, and how to make them.
1. Fiction explainers (about $2,000–5,500/month)
Wallace Animation: 180K subscribers from 28 videos, with titles like Why it sucks to be a Halo Spartan (3.7M views). The trick is that it taps huge existing fan bases (Star Wars, Marvel, Halo, Fallout) but flips the angle to how miserable, dangerous or absurd those lives would be. “Why it sucks to be a vampire” is impossible not to click.
Stack: ChatGPT for the “why it sucks” scripts, Nano Banana in Gemini or Pippit for visuals, ElevenLabs voice, CapCut edit.
2. Historical construction (about $200–600/month)
Architect Genie: under 4K subscribers, but How they built skyscrapers without cranes in the 1910s got 400K+ views in three months. Low subscribers with high views is one of the strongest signals in niche research: high CTR and watch time mean the algorithm is pushing it. Thumbnails put dramatic text (“One mistake to death”) over black-and-white archive photos. Videos run 20+ minutes with archive footage and AI narration.
Stack: research with Gemini or Perplexity, public-domain archive footage, ElevenLabs, CapCut. The key is a compelling angle on a “boring” subject.
3. Company downfall documentaries (about $700–2,600/month)
Junk Bond Invest: 42K subscribers from about 50 videos. Hits include “Cava: How $18 bowls bankrupted a $10 billion dream”. Title formula: company + “how” + dramatic outcome + specific dollar amount. It combines brand recognition, curiosity and credibility. Faceless: AI narration, stock footage, charts.
4. Forbidden truths (about $200–500/month)
Forgotten Roots: 50K subscribers from 24 videos, with one video at 2.4M views in a month. It’s a masterclass in psychological hooks: the feeling that valuable knowledge is being hidden from you. Evergreen and very shareable.
Stack: Perplexity research, then a Claude documentary script, AI images plus stock footage (e.g. Pixabay), a dramatic ElevenLabs voice, CapCut.
5. Military stories (about $4,700–15,000/month)
Ago: 26 videos, about 50K subscribers, 3M+ views in 28 days, with titles like How Vietnamese tunnels outsmarted the US military (2M in 30 days). Every video is a true story that sounds too insane to be real. Long (up to 50 minutes) and faceless, with photos, maps and archive footage.
Stack: ChatGPT/Perplexity to find stories most people haven’t heard, ElevenLabs, public-domain footage, CapCut.
The real secret
None of these niches is magic. They work because of structure, psychology and repeatable systems.
