How to Create Viral Road Restoration Videos Using ONLY AI (Free Tools)

Road restoration clips are everywhere. One channel (J Hacks, 121K subscribers) has videos at 36M and 24M views, pulled 6M+ views in a single week, and posts the same clips to TikTok for tens of millions more. Each takes under five minutes, and it’s 100% free with AI.

Step 1: Work backwards from the “after” shot

Start with a clean, beautiful road. Search Pinterest for straight road or beautiful streets; its images are cinematic and transform well. Save one.

Step 2: Destroy it, then rebuild it

In Pippit (free; Gemini works too) → Image Studio → AI design (Nano Banana):

1. Upload the clean road, paste prompt 1 (from my free doc), set 9:16, and generate. Pick the most destroyed road and download it (upscale if you like).
2. Upload that destroyed image, paste prompt 2, and generate the under-construction version.

Name your files clearly: bad road, constructed road, perfect road.

Step 3: Animate in Google Flow

Grok doesn’t support start/end frames, which this needs. Use Google Flow:

1. Ingredients to video: upload bad road, crop to portrait, paste prompt 3, set 9:16 and Veo 3.1 Fast. This gives you the hook clip.
2. Frames to video: start frame bad road, end frame constructed road (both cropped to portrait), paste prompt 4, and generate the transformation. Download in 1080p.

Step 4: Edit

In CapCut, put the clips on the timeline, zoom slightly to hide the watermark, and add a 2K filter for clarity if you like.

The $12K/month secret

His TikTok bio links to a simple site selling a $12 step-by-step guide to making these videos. If just 1,000 of 36 million viewers buy it, that’s $12K+. It works in any niche:

1. Get views (YouTube, TikTok, Shorts).
2. Make a simple guide to one specific thing people keep asking about.
3. Sell it free on Payhip or Gumroad: upload the file, add a clear title, price it at $10–15, add a cover made in Canva in five minutes, write what’s inside, set it visible, and paste the link in every bio and description.
