How I Make Animated Finance Videos With AI (Dark Ledger Style)
Dark Ledger is four months old, with 28 videos, 24K subscribers and 2M+ views (its top video alone hit 1M). It turns finance into stories, with a visual behind every line. But like almost everyone in the niche, it uses still images. That’s the opportunity: make the same style animated, and you instantly stand out.
Step 1: Pick a sub-niche, not the same videos
Paste the channel URL into Claude (free works) with this prompt (also in the free doc):
Analyze this YouTube channel and identify its niche. Then suggest 20 closely related sub-niches that target the same audience and have strong viral potential. For each sub-niche, provide 10 video ideas that match the channel style.
You’ll get directions like money psychology, stealth wealth and financial ruin case studies. Don’t copy Dark Ledger’s videos. You’d be competing with their four-month head start. Take their format into a neighboring sub-niche with almost no competition. I chose Why your salary buys less every year.
Step 2: Script
Paste the title and length into the script prompt (free in the Vault → Animated Finance Blueprint) and run it in Claude. It reads like someone telling a story, not a robot listing facts.
Step 3: Visual plan
Paste your script into the visual prompt. Before any images, Claude builds a style block, character sheet and location sheet to keep everything consistent. Then, per scene, you get the narration line, duration, image prompt and video prompt.
Step 4: Lock the style first
In Higgsfield (50% off) → Image → Nano Banana Pro, 16:9, generate three versions of a single style image with your character and location, and pick the best. This is the look of your whole video.
Step 5: Scene images with the reference
For each scene, paste its image prompt and drag the style image in as a reference. The prompt says what happens; the reference says what everything looks like. It’s repetitive, but it’s the only way to keep consistency.
Step 6: Animate (your edge)
Video → Seedance 2.5 (desktop recommended). Paste the scene’s video prompt, upload the scene image as the first frame, 16:9, and set the duration Claude calculated from the narration (e.g. 10 s). Repeat for each scene.
Step 7: Voice and edit
ElevenLabs v3 handles emotion best: it knows when to slow down, lift and pause. In CapCut, add the voiceover, sync clips using the narration lines from your plan, add quiet background music and export.
