I Used AI to Replace Anything in a Video — Higgsfield Genjutsu

Every clip at the start of this video is real footage. AI changed only the character or the location, without recreating the whole shot. The camera move, the background and the other objects stayed exactly where they were. The model is Higgsfield Genjutsu (50% off), and you can try it free.

Two modes, two jobs

• Motion transfer: keep the whole scene (movement, people, camera) and change only the character or location.
• Object swap: replace one object with another, like a phone becoming a camera, and leave everything else untouched.

Open Higgsfield → Video → Higgsfield Genjutsu to find both.

Object swap

1. Upload your reference video, the footage to preserve.
2. Turn on the prompt. Genjutsu can guess without it, but a clear prompt leaves less room for mistakes:

Replace the grey laptop in my hands with a black professional camera with a lens. Keep my hand movements and background identical.

3. Optional but powerful: upload an image of the new object as a reference. More visual info gives a more accurate result.
4. Pick quality. 720p lets you generate free on the new free plan; up to 1080p is available.

My test clip started with a quick wave before I picked up the laptop. Genjutsu kept the wave, the wall, the desk, the framed picture and even the candles. Only the laptop became a camera.

Motion transfer

No reference video? Open the Motion library: ready-made cartoon, realistic and cinematic clips. Pick one, click Recreate, and Higgsfield loads the video plus character references. Swap in your image, optionally swap the location image (I used a backyard), and generate. It replaced the character and the background while keeping the original fight choreography.

How to make money with it

• Ads: change the model, swap the product or modify details without a reshoot.
• Editors: add it to your rate card as a new service.
• Freelancing: offer it on Fiverr or Upwork. Reshoots are expensive, so this is worth charging well for.
