How I Made AMAZING Geography Map Videos with GPT-6 Astra (Full Workflow)
One geography channel made an estimated $5,000 in seven days with 2.8 million views, all from animated map shorts. Its videos regularly hit 5–11 million views. Traditionally that means After Effects, map layers, keyframes and camera moves, which takes hours for 30 seconds. With GPT-6 Astra it’s one conversation and one prompt.

Step 1: Connect Higgsfield to GPT-6 Astra
GPT-6 Astra is the brain; Higgsfield (50% off) is the production studio (visuals, voiceover, video). On Higgsfield, open the MCP section, select ChatGPT, click Add Higgsfield plugin, then Install plugin in ChatGPT. Done in under a minute.
Step 2: Load the master prompt
I built a universal master prompt trained on reference videos, titles, scripts, images and motion-graphics templates. In the Google Doc, copy everything under “System prompt”. It’s long, so grab all of it. In ChatGPT, check the Higgsfield plugin is enabled, paste it, add “Here’s your task” and send.
Step 3: Pick an idea
GPT gives you 12 cinematic map ideas modeled on topics that already perform. The map is the story: watching a border shift or an empire expand is understood in seconds, which is why these get watched to the end. I picked Why is Alaska separated from America?
Step 4: Set the format
Answer three questions: long or short form, length, and quality. I chose short, 30 seconds, and 720p (1080p available, 720p saves credits).
Step 5: Review the plan
GPT researches the topic first, then gives you a title (plus two alternatives), the narration, a full shot sheet and all on-screen text. Ask for changes freely, e.g. “make the script more casual and engaging”, then reply yes.
Step 6: Generate
GPT picks the video model, sets aspect ratio and duration and sends it to Higgsfield. A few minutes later you have clean motion graphics, transitions and text, with no animation by hand.
Step 7: Quick edit before uploading
In CapCut or any editor:
- Trim silence. In a short, even a 1-second pause makes people swipe.
- Add a Glow effect for a brighter, more polished look.
- Add captions, but only where the visual is static.
- Add background music under the voice and trim it to fit.
