Niche finder: every faceless niche from my videos

All the faceless niches I've broken down on the channel, with the earnings and RPMs as I stated them in each video, and the tutorial for each one.

Below is every niche I’ve covered in a video, in one place. For each one you get what the example channels were making at the time of my video, the RPM where I gave one, why the niche works, and the tutorials that show you how to make it.

These are snapshots from my videos, mostly vidIQ-style estimates, not promises. Niches heat up and cool down. Use them to choose a direction, then check the channels yourself before you commit.

How I pick a niche

  1. Look for low subscribers with high views. That’s one of the strongest signals in niche research: high click-through and watch time mean the algorithm is pushing the topic, not the channel.
  2. Prefer new channels that are growing fast. A two-month-old channel with 30K subscribers proves the format works now, for someone with no head start.
  3. Check where the audience is. In my history and stick-figure breakdowns, a big share of US viewers was part of why the RPM was high, because US ad rates are the highest.
  4. Ask “is it evergreen?” Whiteboard and painting videos still get views years later. Check the VPH (views per hour) of old videos in vidIQ.
  5. Find the gap. “Boring” niches like historical construction or paintings have low supply and high demand. In finance stories almost everyone uses still images, so animating them is an instant edge.
  6. Go one step sideways. Don’t make the same videos as the channel you found. Take its format into a neighboring sub-niche with almost no competition. (More in Channel modeling.)

Long-form, Shorts or both?

  • Long-form is where the RPMs in this list come from. The channels I break down go long on purpose: 15–20+ minutes means more watch time and more ad slots.
  • Shorts are paid from a shared revenue pool, so long-form RPMs don’t apply to them. Shorts channels in my videos still made real money (an animal story channel at $10K+/month), and Shorts are great for reach.
  • Short-form trends (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) often earn outside AdSense: TikTok Shop, affiliate links, or a guide sold from the bio. Post the same clips on every platform; each has its own monetization thresholds.

All niches

Filter by format, open a card’s tutorials, and plug the RPM into the RPM calculator.

RPM = what you earn per 1,000 views. Stated = the RPM I used in the video. Implied = that video’s earnings ÷ its views, so treat it as rough. Plug any of them into the RPM calculator.

Stick-figure explainers (prehistory, human behaviour, psychology)

Earnings in my video: About $6K–$33K/month estimated for the channels in my videos

Why it works: Dead-simple visuals, fast narration and a curiosity hook. A repeatable system lets these channels post almost daily.

$3 ("even at a low RPM"), $5 and ~$7 RPM are the figures I used for these channels.
